Mzamomtsha Primary School was built in 1999, it is a public primary school located at 49 Valangentambo Street.
It is one of the top achieving public primary schools in Cape Town. It is a Section 21 school with ABE functions
and classified under quintile 3 as a no fee institution. In 2014 there were 293 registered learners, including 51 Grade R learners.

To empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them,
as life-long learners, to participate in and contribute to the global world and practice the core values of the school:
respect, tolerance & inclusion, and excellence.

To develop students with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others,
and the courage to act on their beliefs. We stress the total development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual,
social, emotional, and physical.

Khuze (Principal)

” Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it” Mr Khuze was born and raised in Queenstown, Eastern Cape where he studied his primary and high school. He passed matric in 1988 and relocated to Cape Town to further his studies and obtained a Bachelor of Education (BEd) at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in in 1994. After graduating at UWC, He started to work as a history teacher and as Deputy Principal, and at Manzomthombo Senior Secondary School in Mfuleni, Cape Town. He has worked as a History NSC Marker, Chief Marker and an Internal Moderator at Western Cape Education Department (WCED) In January 2007 He became the Principal of Mzamomtsha Primary School till present.

Sobetwa (Secretary)

Lusanda is a Secretary with eight years of experience working alongside the educators team of Mzamomtsha Primary School. She maintains the smooth running of the school through a variety of administrative and clerical duties. She handles school schedules, coordinate meetings and visits, organize files, answer phones and perform a huge array of other essential tasks. Lusanda is a powerful force at Mzamomtsha and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed.

Musa Martins (Head of the SGB)

Musa opens the line of communication between teachers, parents, and learners to keep the school running. With over 15 years in both public and private sectors, Musa has experience in mentoring, team building, professional development and strategic implementation. Musa has managed the Driftsands Football Club. Musa holds a Communication and Influence in The Digital Age Certificate from the University of Cape Town.
